When you first sit behind the dash, you'll find there's zero co-ordination between you and your team. Instead of boring human legs, you punt a huge football with bumperific force. Rocket League has elevated the game of football with rocket-propelled cars. Also, Knockout City mirrors the cartoon fun of chucking balls all over the place. What else should I be playing if I like this: Laser League isn't exactly cars with balls, but it's similar in its accessibility and depth.

Regardless, it's hard to criticise too much when MultiVersus is completely free-to-play and a great brawler to play with friends which is why it deserves a coveted spot on our list. It's still early days for the brawler (it only released in July this year) but from what we’ve played, MultiVersus is great fun with plenty of potential, even if its iterations of the Smash Bros formula aren’t that impactful.Ĭharacter perks and classes invite players to work more cooperatively which is a nice touch, but the doubt is whether WB can make the characters feel as weighty as Smash Bros’ iconic character roster. Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl feels like the closest comparison but some other great platform fighting contenders are Lethal League Blaze and Towerfall.Įver wanted to see Steven Universe and the Iron Giant get into fisticuffs with Game of Throne’s Arya Stark and Bugs Bunny?
